I give my sincere condolences to you Byers family. All of you certainly have a deep love and attachment for Betty. To lose someone you love in death, is not something we were meant to deal with. But God promises to fix this problem; His word tells us at John 5:28,29, "Do not be amazed...all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice," (The voice of God's Son, Jesus), "and come out." So, we will be able to see our loved ones again. What then, does God tell us to do until that time? Isaiah 41:10 offers us comfort from God, for it says, "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold onto you with my right hand of righteousness." How reassuring those words are! The bible says many other wonderful things about this hope though, and I can share those with you if you would like. Until then, I hope you find encouragement from these scriptures.

Beautiful inside and out. Betty loved her boys to the moon and back. Loved her smile and laugh, her jokes and laughing at Tom.

Our mother was a resident at Lakeland Nursing Home and her and your mom would often sit at the same table at meal times so we got to know her through our daily visits with our mom. Betty was so sweet and kind and always offered us something from her meal whether it was a cookie or some French fries!! Our mother passed away in July but we still visit occasionally and your Mom would still always have a smile for us. We are so sorry for your loss!!

I only met Betty a couple years ago, but I always looked forward to a smile and a hug from this sweet little lady whenever I saw her at church. Heaven has gained another angel and I know I will get another smile and hug when we meet again someday. I pray God will comfort her family during this difficult time and give them peace in knowing there will be a happy reunion one day.

I am so sad to hear of your mothers passing Tom and Janet. She is now in the presence of our Lord. Your memories will keep her close to your heart.

Sorry for your loss. My mother was in the same wing as Betty. I would always say Hi and talk a little with her. She came to Lakeland around the same time my mother came. I always remembered her name, because my mother's name is Betty, also. Will keep you all in my prayers.
