Dallas G. Sigrist, age 78, of Farina, Illinois passed away at 9:05 p.m.  on Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, Illinois. Reverend Bill Causer will be officiating. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Burial will be at the Farina Cemetery in Farina, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5  to 8  p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, Illinois. Memorials may go to Friedens United Church of Christ, Farina Food pantry, Farina EMT/Ambulance, Celtic Hospice or donor’s choice. 

Dallas was born on November 05, 1938 in Marion County, Illinois, the son of Glen and Mae (Jasper) Sigrist. Reverend Wysmann married Dallas and Carolyn Quandt on December 23, 1956 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois. He was member of the Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, Illinois. Dallas enjoyed farming and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sigrist of Farina, Illinois; three sons, Brad Sigrist of Farina, Illinois, Greg Sigrist (wife Tammy) of Farina, Illinois, David Sigrist (wife Pam) of Farina, Illinois; daughter, Lisa Hoehne (husband Keith) of Eureka, Nevada; brother, Bob Sigrist (wife Pearl) of Sandwich, Illinois; two sisters, Selma Wilham (husband Larry) of Lincoln, Illinois and Janice Torbeck of Augsburg, Illinois; sister-in-law, Juanita Sigrist of Farina, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by  his parents, Glen and Mae Sigrist; son, Mark Sigrist; brother, Albert “Ab” Sigrist; four brothers-in-law, Nelson Torbeck, Ted Quandt, Leon Schaefer and John McGuire.
