Donald Kevin Koehler, age 74, formerly of Loogootee, Illinois passed away at 3:20 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Marion VA Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 01, 2016 at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. Pastor Dan Laack will be officiating. Burial will be at Sidener Cemetery. Donald was born on July 14, 1941 in Lone Grove Township, the son of Kenneth and Geneva (Case) Koehler. He married Linda Lee Koehler on August 09, 1963 in Vandalia, Illinois. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2012. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering on motors, and spending time with his grandchildren.  

He is survived by his three sons, Aaron Drew Koehler of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Tony L. Koehler of Murphysboro, Illinois and Miles B. “Chip” Koehler (wife Lori) or Aurora, Colorado; daughter, Donnita K. Childress of Effingham, Illinois; five brothers, Allan Koehler of Montana, Dennis Koehler (wife Paula) of Florida, Justin Koehler of Montana, Glenn Koehler (wife Susan) of Florida, Rod Koehler (wife Lilly) of Loogootee, Illinois; three sisters, Patty Koehler of Brownstown, Illinois, Betty Koehler of Brownstown, Illinois and Nina Shephard (husband Danny) of Grants Pass, Oregon; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Geneva Koehler; one son, Matthew Koehler and one sister, Sonya Harpster.
