Elwood Edward Brown Jr., age 63, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 3:40 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 09, 2017 at Bunker Cemetery in Flora, Illinois. Memorials may go to donor’s choice. 

Elwood was born on October 10, 1953 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Elwood E. Sr. and Pauline (Strange) Brown. He was a member of the Mason Masonic Lodge, Edgewood American Legion Post #1168. He enjoyed building hotrods and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Jason Brown of Effingham, Illinois; Carrie Lansford (husband Wyatt) of Vandalia, Illinois; two sisters, Sara Phillips (husband Larry) of Belle Rive, Illinois and Marry Phlueger (husband John) of Sandoval, Illinois; four grandchildren; Chloe Lansford, Halen Brown, Anthony Lansford and Blaise Lansford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood Sr. and Pauline Brown; three sisters, Linda Pilcher, Sue Harmon and baby sister in infancy.
