Jason Edwards Hazzard-Garrett, age 20, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in Mason, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Burial will be at Keen’s Chapel Cemetery in Larkinsburg Township. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorials may go to Keen’s Chapel Cemetery or donor’s choice.

Jason was born on May 09, 1995 in Kankakee, Illinois. He graduated from Effingham High School in 2014. He enjoyed working on vehicles especially loud trucks, spending time with family, riding four-wheelers and mudding.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Edith Garrett of Edgewood, Illinois; fiancé, Jessica Hassebrock of Edgewood, Illinois; brother, Glen Allen Hazzard Jr. (wife Bethany) of Edgewood, Illinois; nephew, Bentley Goff; two nieces, Adrianna Widdows and Carley Goff; two cousins, Tommy Wolford of Momence, Illinois and James Garrett of Tuscola, Illinois; grandparents, Jim and Ernie Gilmore of Edgewood, Illinois and one baby on the way.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Loretta Whitcomb and fraternal grandparents, Charles and Margarete Garrett.
