Marilyn Louise Underwood, age 53, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away at 7:04 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2016 at C & A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois with a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Ronnie Newburn will be officiating. Burial will be at Lovett Cemetery in rural St. James, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at C & A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. Cubs attire is welcomed by the family. Memorials may go to the Methodist Church Program for Children or donor’s choice.

Marilyn was born on October 01, 1962 in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Merle E. and Mary Louise (Logue) Underwood. She was a member of the Winton Community Free Methodist Church and previously served as church delegate and treasurer. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing, walking and working out in the gym.

She is survived by her three brothers, Gene Underwood of Tyler, Texas, Carl Underwood (wife Linda) of Beecher City, Illinois and Gary Underwood (wife Sheila) of St. Elmo, Illinois; two sisters, Marie Dye (husband Gene) of Altamont, Illinois and Mary Devall (husband Greg) of Effingham, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, coworkers and church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle E. and Mary Louise Underwood and one brother, John Underwood.
