Richard French, age 52, of Decatur, Illinois passed away at 8:34 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 05, 2016 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. Ronnie Frazier will be officiating. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery in Watson, Illinois. There will be a one hour viewing prior to the service. Memorials may go to Pagel Funeral Homes or Christopher French to offset funeral expenses or donor’s choice. 

Richard was born on October 05, 1963 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Ronnie Sr. and Rosemary (Hatfill) French.

He is survived by his step-mother, Rose French of Effingham, Illinois; three sons, Christopher French, Richard French and William Blair all of Effingham, Illinois; three daughters, Alexis Blair, Grace French and Kristina French all of Effingham, Illinois; two brothers, Rob French of Effingham, Illinois and Steven Hall; two sisters, Robin Veach (husband Tony) of Decatur, Illinois and Lacey French of Effingham, Illinois and two grandchildren, DJ Stevens and AJ Stevens both of Effingham, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronnie Sr. and Rosemary French and one brother, Ronnie French Jr; aunt, Beverly Baker and grandmother, Helen Smith.
