Blanche Katherine Casey, age 91, formerly of Murphysboro, Illinois passed away at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Aperion Care in St. Elmo, Illinois.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. 

Blanche was born on June 23, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter R. and Marie Anna (Ross) Collins. She married Lawrence Patrick Casey on June 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death on February of 1967. Blanche was a home maker and an avid animal lover. She always had her precious pets around her.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Baiter (husband Ed) of Farina, Illinois; two grandchildren, Mark Lipe (wife Shelly) of Rusk, Texas and Jennifer Clinton (husband Bill) of Benton, Illinois; 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. To her grandchildren, she will always be lovingly remembered as “Nanny”. She also leaves behind her pet, Brutus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie Collins; one sister, Tookie Collins; three brothers, Walter Jr., Robert and Jerome Collins; two nephews, Steven and Kevin Collins.
