Debbie R. Fancher, age 56, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at her home in Effingham, Illinois.

 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 2, 2018 at the Mason Christian Church in Mason, Illinois. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 2, 2018 at the Mason Christian Church.  Burial will be at Watson Cemetery in Watson, Illinois. Mark White and Judy Poe will be officiating.  Memorials may go to the funeral home to defer costs. 

 

Debbie was born October 14, 1961 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Norman Larry Sr and Darlene (Whitney) Pontious. Debbie was in the healthcare field as a CNA.  Debbie loved to shop and go to flea markets.  She had a love for animals and will always be remembered as someone that would do anything for anyone.  She was a member at the Full Gospel Church in Edgewood, Illinois.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.      

 

She is survived by her father and step mother, Norman Larry Sr. and Gale Pontious of Iola, Illinois; five sons, Jeremy Pontious of Boggsville, Illinois, John Pontious (wife Chelsie) of Altamont, Josh Pontious Sr. (wife Stephanie) of Mason, Illinois, Craig Fancher (wife Jade) of Iola, Illinois, Adam Fancher (wife Hannah) of Louisville, Illinois; three daughters Stacey Allen (husband Chet) of Louisville, Illinois, Tiffany Fancher (Brock Hassebrock) of Edgewood, Illinois, Ashley Fancher (Jeremy Glass) of Edgewood, Illinois; three brothers, Norman Pontious Jr. (wife Julie) of Mason , Illinois, Nathan Pontious (wife Rachel) of Flora, Illinois, and Eric Pontious of Effingham, Illinois; five sisters, Kimberly Sinkler of Watson, Illinois, Stephanie Pontious of Iola, Illinois, Carla Kessler of Flora, Illinois, Christina Holzer (husband Gabe) of South Carolina, Vanessa Fatheree (husband Zack) of Flora, Illinois; and 30 grandchildren.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Pontious; one sister, Becky Arnold; two nephews, Nathan Pontious Jr., Michael Caldwell; two nieces Megan Pontious and Shelby Cameron.
