Marilene Hays, age 74, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 in Salem, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois with a one hour viewing prior to the funeral.  Kent Robinson will be officiating.  Burial will be at Watson Cemetery, Watson, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to the family or to the donor’s choice.  

Marilene was born December 26, 1943 in Clay County, Illinois, the daughter of Hershel E. and Mary E. (Simmons) Krutsinger. She married Clyde Hays on July 5, 1967 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  She loved to sew, listen to gospel music and spend time with family and friends.

Marilene is survived by one son, Russell (wife Sandra) Krutsinger of Louisville, Illinois; three daughters, Doris (husband Keith) Prather of Flora, Illinois, Barbara Henson of Anna, Illinois and Carrie Hays of Effingham, Illinois; three brothers, Larry Krutsinger of Iuka, Illinois, Ray (wife Glenda) Krutsinger of Iuka, Illinois and Floyd (wife Pageen) Krutsinger of Salem, Illinois; five sisters, Gloria (husband Stuart) Reeder of Wilmington, Illinois, Jane Krutsinger of Abbeville, Alabama,

Della Mae (husband Wayne) Donoho of Salem, Illinois, Debbie (husband Rick) Huene of Kinmundy, Illinois and Sandra (husband Jack) Calhoun of Rector, Arkansas; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Marilene was preceded in death by her parents, Hershel E. and Mary E. Krutsinger and husband, Clyde Hays
