Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Mason Christian Church, Mason, Illinois.  Burial will take place at the Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham, Illinois. Mark White will be officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Mason Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mason Christian Church or the donor’s choice.

Rick was born on Sunday, May 11, 1952, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Clarence A. and Jane (Coker) Lueken.  Rick married the love of his life, Jennifer Lynn Schneider on Saturday, November 27th, 2004 at the Chapel of the Doves in Branson, Missouri. Rick worked at World Color Press for over 21 years as a bag boy and then a machine operator.  Rick also worked at Bob’s Salvage and Home Improvement for over 11 ½ years as an Assistant Manager and Salesman. Rick was an amazingly, strong man, who endured too much pain in his lifetime.  Rick loved with his whole heart. He was a loving, kind and gentle soul.  Rick had many talents, he was a great fisherman, great carpenter, great bowler, computer buff, great worker, and always enjoyed helping others. Whatever he was enduring he always had a smile on his face and always concerned about others.  He was the best husband and provider.  Rick had the most sweet and calming personality, had a great sense of humor with a beautiful smile and great laugh.  Rick loved his St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, football, all sports and especially fishing. We learned so much from Sweet Rick, and he taught us what was truly important in life---love and togetherness. Rick is and will be loved and missed forever and ever.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Lynn Schneider-Lueken of Watson, Illinois; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leroy and Barbara Schneider of Mason, Illinois and one sister, Debbie Eichelberger of Heartville, Illinois.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Jane Lueken and his sister, Constance (Connie) Austin.
