Obituary
Alfred Martin Rush, 87, of Watson, Illinois passed away at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Lakeland Rehabilitation Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, IL. with one hour viewing prior to service. Kent Robinson will be officiating. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, September 29, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, IL. Memorials may be to Browns Cemetery, Watson Cemetery and donor's choice.
Alfred was born on June 27, 1927 in Larkinsburg, Twp., the son of Beryl and Ruby (Calvert) Rush. He married Lucille "Sally" Walker in September 9, 1948 in Effingham, IL. He was a Railroad Maintainer at the Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening along with his family.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Lucille "Sally" Rush of Watson, IL; son, Alfred Wayne Rush of Watson, IL; daughter, Sharon Lucille Rush of Watson, IL; one sister-n-law, Anna Mae Rush of Dieterich, IL; one grandchild, Elizabeth Greenhalgh (husband Sean) of Naperville, IL., and 2 great grandchildren.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Marion Rush and Richard Leo Rush
