Amber Marie Shinn, age 40, of St. Elmo, Illinois pass away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

A Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Elmo. Father Ron Lorilla will be Officiating. Visitation from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo.  Interment will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery in rural St. Elmo, Illinois. Memorials may go to Pagel Funeral Homes to offset expenses or the donor's choice.

Amber was born on August 28, 1984 in New Haven, Connecticut. She spent her youth traveling the country with her sweetheart, eventually falling in love with the state of Illinois. She married Jason E. Shinn on June 4, 2010 and was together for 24 years. Her greatest joy in life was cooking and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Shinn of St. Elmo, Illinois and their 7 children, Trinity, Jasmin, Ariah, Eddy, Lydia, Lilah, and Carmela.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Newton and her grandparents, Charles and Carmela Bellemore.
