Arlon Wayne Beccue, age 85, of Mason, Illinois, passed away Monday March 23, 2026, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church, 5534 E 600th Ave, Altamont, Illinois, with burial in the Church cemetery following the service. Military rites will be observed. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of service. Pastor Marcus Manley will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
Arlon was born on June 16, 1940, in West Township, Effingham County, Illinois, the son of Ernest Beccue and Mable (Siebert) Beccue. He was an honored member of the United States Army, serving for two years as field artillery. He was an avid outdoor man, hiking, hunting, archery, and fishing were just some of the many things he enjoyed doing outside. Every Sunday, Arlon would host Sunday dinner, often grilling pork chops. Family was very important to Arlon, especially his grandchildren.
Arlon is survived by son; Dwayne (wife, Christy) Beccue of Shumway, Illinois, daughter; Anita Beccue of Mason, Illinois, sisters; Nelda (husband, Jim) Thompson of Ohio, Linda Cox of Alabama, grandchildren; Alex Beccue, Alec (wife, Ashley) Schwerman, Zaine Schwerman, Brandon Beccue, and one great-grandchild, Pierceson Schwerman, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mable Beccue, and nine brothers and sisters.
