Obituary

Artie Alene Warner, 96, of Mason passed away March 19, 2015 at 12:18 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2018 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois with a one hour viewing prior to service. Mark White will be officiating. Burial will be at Leith Cemetery, rural Mason. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27 , 2015 at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leith Cemetery Association, Loy Cemetery Association, the Mason Christian Church, or donor's choice. Artie Alene was born October 19, 1918 in rural Edgewood, IL., the daughter of Cecil and Clella Nave and granddaughter of Thomas and Ida Ingram.  On December 18, 1935 she married Harold C. Warner, who preceded her in death on September 24, 1978. They were blessed with one son, Virgil E. (Gene) Warner, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2005.

Artie was a longtime farmer and lover of nature and animals. She was a lifetime member of the Illinois Farm Bureau, was active in 4-H for decades, and was a member of the local Ham Radio Club.

Surviving are her granddaughters, Cindy Warner (Special friend Randy) of New Paris, OH , Kristy Holman (Joe) of Teutopolis, and Stephanie Parks of Effingham; Grandsons, Joe Warner (Gail) of Mason, and Dale Parks (Susie) of Mason; Great-grandsons, Jesse Warner (Ellen) of Mason, Drew Holman (Special friend Desteny) of Teutopolis, Mitch Wagner (Fiancé' Nikkii ) of Effingham, and Joe Parks (Megan) of Edgewood. Great-granddaughters, Hailey Antrim (Josh) of Muncie, Indiana, Jennifer Holman (Special friend Dakota) of Teutopolis, Lydia Warner of Mason, Brandi Parks of Mason, Jamie Parks of Edgewood, and Gracie Parks of Mason; and Great-great-grandchildren: Colton, Keleigh, Rosie, Daisy, Warren, Mikuel, Rowdie, Justin, Sophie, and Baby Warner due in May. She is also survived by brother-in-law Jack Warner (Vivian) of Mason, and sisters-in-law Ruby Clough and Louise Bushue (Lee), both of Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Warner; son, Gene; brother, Harry Fender; sister, Esta Fender; two daughters-in-law Rosalie & Gaetana and two infant sons.
