Bobbie Dean Haslett, age 90, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Aperion Care in St. Elmo, Illinois.

Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Sidener Cemetery in St. Elmo, Illinois. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Memorials may go to the Fayette County Humane Society, Sidener Cemetery or the donor's choice.

Bobbie was born on January 21, 1930 in Loudon Township, Illinois, the son of Berthol F. and Belle (Sidwell) Haslett. He married Doris G. Garrison on September 18, 1954 in Springfield, Illinois. He loved music, writing songs, tinkering on cars, and spending time with his family and friends and grandchildren. Bobbie ran Haslett Automotive for many years.

He is survived by his four sons, Greg Haslett (wife Shirley) of St. Elmo, Illinois, Pat Haslett (wife Kathy) of Scotts Hill, Tennessee, Tim Haslett (wife Pam) of St. Elmo, Illinois, and Dennis Haslett (wife Vicky) of St. Elmo, Illinois; one daughter, Crystal Porter (husband Tony) of St. Elmo, Illinois; two brothers, Kenny Haslett of Tyler, Texas and Phil Haslett of Shelbyville, Illinois; one sister, Mary Jane Ray of Slidell, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Berthol and Belle Haslett; wife, Doris Haslett; two sisters-in-law, Rita Haslett and Stella Haslett.
