Carolyn Marie Coburn, age 72, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 10:03 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Full Gospel Church in Edgewood, Illinois. There will be a one hour viewing prior to the service. Judy Poe will be officiating. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery in Watson, Illinois.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Full Gospel Church in Edgewood, Illinois. Memorial may be made to Full Gospel Church in Edgewood or donor's choice.

Carolyn was born on November 22, 1943 in Watson, Illinois, the daughter of Urban C. and Beulah M. (Elledge) Nelson. Carolyn married Rufus "Bud" Coburn on January 10, 1998 at the Christian Church in Mason, Illinois. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Edgewood, Illinois. She enjoyed camping, fishing, taking pictures, her fur babies, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four daughters, Janie Sapp (husband Jim) of Edgewood, Illinois, Debbie Goldstein (husband Tim "Goob") of Edgewood, Illinois, Nancy Merritt (husband Ron) of Edgewood, Illinois and Norma Roderick (husband Kyle) of Watson, Illinois; one brother, Robert Nelson "Bob" (wife Gayle) of Mason, Illinois; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Beulah Nelson; husband, Rufus "Bud" Coburn; three brothers, Aaron Nelson in infancy, Gary Nelson and Allen Nelson.
