Carrie Maye Leasher

Carrie Maye Leasher, age 76, of Mason, Illinois, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her home in Mason, Illinois, surrounded by all her loved ones.

She will be cremated per her wishes, and no services will be scheduled.

Carrie was born on July 1, 1950, the daughter of George Guthrie and Hattie Faye Conner Guthrie in Effingham, Illinois. She married Donald Leasher, Sr. on November 7, 1966, in Effingham, Illinois. Carrie was a stay-at-home mom and loved every minute spent with her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Jr. Whoppers, puzzles, playing bingo and going camping. Her family loved her beyond words, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Tonya (Phillip) Yocum of Mason, Illinois, Donald (Eve) Leasher, Jr. of Mason, Illinois, Jeff (Steph) Leasher of Edgewood, Illinois, Dale (Sam) Leasher of Kinmundy, Illinois; brother, Rankie; sister, Cindy; grandchildren, Dustin (Kaitlin) Yocum, Maria (Blaine) Reardon, Dakota (Jess) Leasher, Cairra (Tyler) Leasher, Memphis (Josie) Leasher, Reese Leasher; great-grandchildren, Gaven, Addy, AJ, and Atlas on the way, numerous nieces nephews and friends.

She was preceded by her parents, George and Hattie, her siblings, Katherine, Laurie, Betty, Johnny, Chief, Rogie, and Jerry; her grandson, Nathan.
