Christina Candy Walden, age 35, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 4:35 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois with a two-hour visitation prior to the service. Mark White will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Jackson Township Cemetery in rural Mason, Illinois.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.

Christina was born September 19, 1982 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald E. Sr. and Judy M. (Ullrich) Kuhlman.  She was an avid Cardinals fan, loved everything about Disney, liked mushroom hunting and listening to Garth Brooks.  She enjoyed cooking, coloring in grown up coloring books and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Sterling Christopher Walden of Mason, Illinois; brother, Gerald Kuhlman, Jr. of Effingham, Illinois; sisters, Julie Pontious (husband Norman) of Mason, Illinois and Joyce Donsbach (husband Steve) of Mason, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Marcella Kuhlman and Wilbert and Neva Ullrich; one sister, Mary Kuhlman, who died in infancy and one niece, Megan Pontious.
