Danny Dwain Collins, age 80, of Watson, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Watson Methodist Church, Watson, Illinois with visitation one prior to the start of service. Jeff Morrison will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pagel Funeral Home, 100 N Olive, St. Elmo, Illinois, 62458 to help offset funeral expenses. Online condolences may be left at www.pagelfuneralhome.com
Danny was born February 8, 1946, in Roselawn, Indiana, the son of Bunnie Collins and Edna (Whipple) Collins. Danny loved to play slot machines, not always winning, but would have a great time playing. Westerns, Gunsmoke, Wheel of Fortune, and The Three Stooges were his favorite TV shows. He was never without his Copenhagen snuff.
He is survived by his sisters; Lolly Collins of Watson, Illinois, Mary Lou Collins Bernarte of Watson, Illinois, brother; Marty Collins of Watson, Illinois, sister; Jeanette Oaks of Terre Haute, Indiana, Nieces, Crystal (Waylon) Williamson of Watson, Illinois, and Linda and Jason Swartz of Watson, Illinois, nieces and nephew, Raquel Swartz, Monroe Williamson, and Julie Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bunnie and Edna Collins, brother-in-law, Dale Oaks, and great niece Marylou Williamson.
