David Richard Wheatley, age 57 of Mason, Illinois passed away at 3:13 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. with a two hour viewing prior to service at Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, Illinois. Burial will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Effingham, Illinois. Memorials may be made to Mid America Transplant or donor's choice. David was born on October 6, 1957 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Richard and Maxine (Painter) Wheatley. He worked in the oil fields for several years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports on TV.

He leaves behind his mother, Maxine Wheatley of Mason, Illinois; daughter, Myca of Mason, Illinois; two sisters, Sandra Wilson (husband David) and Donna Wheatley all of Mason, Illinois and Several nieces and nephews.
