Dennis Franklin Dehart, age 77, of Farina, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at his home.

Dennis was born on October 10, 1948 in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Thomas Earl and Nona Jean (Byers) Dehart. He married Mary Ann Allen on May 6, 2000 in Farina, Illinois. He was a retired lineman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, arrowhead, ginseng, and mushroom hunting, and anything pertaining to the outdoors. He was an avid nature lover. In his later years, he enjoyed various types of woodworking. He was a proud IBEW member for over 50 years. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Dehart of Farina; daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Bailey of Flora, Angela (Sean) McHenry of Westfield; Margo (Johnny) Donaldson of Dieterich; son, Matthew Allen of Effingham; grandchildren, Ian Bailey, Devon (Josh Beaty), Ryan McHenry, Kaitlyn McHenry, Josh (Becky) McCarter, Luke Donaldson, Macy Donaldson, Max Allen, Rogan Allen, and Cormac Allen; great-grandchildren, Caden McHenry, Kyler Beaty, Averleigh Lalonde, Camden McCarter, and Tucker McCarter.

He was preceded by his parents, Earl and Nona Jean Dehart; brother, Tom Dehart; and infant sons, Marion and Travis Dehart.
