Dennis Ray Riley, age 81, of St. Elmo Illinois passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, from 5:00-7:00 at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.pagelfuneralhome.com.

Dennis was born on July 12, 1943 in St. Elmo, Illinois to Curtis and Kathryn (Logue) Riley. He married Patti Hancock on August 2, 2003.  Dennis loved hunting, and mushroom hunting. He loved being outside and took great pride in taking care of his yard, and loved mowing the grass. He cherished his family and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. Dennis will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Patti, as well as his son, Brian (Crystal) Riley, daughter Susan (Kyle) Wright, Stepdaughter Brandy Potter, Sister Mary Jane (Fred) Gottman, and sisters-in-law Shelby Riley and Linda Riley, as well as 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Kathryn Riley, brothers Curtis Riley and Larry Riley, and sisters Priscilla Scholes, June Rhodes, and Peggy Logue.
