Dollie June Franklin, age 89, of Edgewood, Illinois passed away the evening of Friday, December 27, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Edgewood Cemetery with Jeff Morrison officiating. Memorials may go to Edgewood Cemetery or the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com

Dollie was born on December 20, 1935 in West Township, Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of William Oliver and Dora Mae (Cox) Ort. She married Leonard M. Franklin on September 23, 1955 in Champaign. She was a member of Harvest United Methodist Church in Edgewood, the Postal Auxiliary #230 in Urbana, and Royal Neighbors of America Camp 7835.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Dora Ort; husband, Leonard Franklin; daughters, Cheryl Lynn Franklin and Linda Joyce Castellano; brothers, Herb Ort and Cecil Ort; sister, Clara Ort.
