Dorothy Mae Evans, age 81, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care in Vandalia, Illinois.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo, Illinois. Tim Logue will be officiating. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Dorothy was born on May 9, 1933 in Loudon Township, the daughter of James and Elsie (Cary) Logue. She married Laverne Evans on October, 30 1956 in Decatur, Illinois. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Vandalia, Illinois. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and taking care of her husband and children.

She is survived by her three sons, Marty Evans (wife Barbara) of Shobonier, IL., Vernon Evans of Vandalia, IL., Max Evans (wife Kristy) of Vandalia, IL; daughter, Melissa Tarrant (husband Donald) of Beecher City, IL; sister, Loraine Parody of Peoria, IL., Alice Parham (husband Tom) of Vandalia, IL; seven grandchildren, Brian, Emily, Braden, Dakota, Chrissy, Nathan, and Sally and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elsie Logue; husband, Laverne Evans; two brothers, Nolan and Delmar Logue; brother-in-law, Charles Parody .
