Obituary
Duane Edward Day, 67 of Iola, IL passed away at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Graveside services will be at Keen's Chapel Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 with Military Rites. Arrangements are being taken care of by Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, IL.
Memorials may go to St. Anthony Hospice, Keen's Chapel Cemetery, or donor's choice.
Duane was born on August 7, 1947 in Effingham, IL. the son of Kenneth and Zelma (Appelt) Day. He married Glenda Sue Loy on March 26, 2003 in LaClede, IL. and she survives. Duane was a part of the Vietnam War for many years. Duane owned his own business and was a brick-layer for several years. He loved hunting, raising and riding quarter horses.
He is survived by his son, Dallas Day of Waltonville, IL.; step-son, Gary Loy of Pana, IL.; daughter, Cassandra Day of Waltonville, IL.; sister, Pamela Campton (husband Allen) of Shumway, IL.; 3 grandchildren, Jadyn, Noah, and Justice Day.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
