Edward G. Fisher, age 89, of St. Peter, Illinois passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shobonier, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. Edward was born on July 22, 1932 in Frogtown, Illinois, the son of Arthur J. and Dessie C. (Reynolds) Fisher. He married Florence Conant on November 29, 1958. He enjoyed fishing, going deer hunting with his daughters, and going to garage sales. Edward never knew a stranger and was always willing to help his friends. He was a dairy farmer for several years and retired from Vandalia Correctional Center. After retirement, Edward enjoyed driving Mennonites.

He is survived by the love of his life, Florence Fisher; daughters, Linda (husband Mike) and Brenda; three granddaughters, Randi, Casey, and Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Maci, and Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dessie Fisher; a brother and a sister.
