Edward Franklin McDaniel, age 61, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2019, at his residence in Effingham, Illinois.

Cremations rites will be observed. A celebration of life will be held at The MVP Happy Holler 10524 E. 1400th Ave Newton, IL on Saturday, September 14th from 6-10 PM .

Edward was born on January 15, 1958, the son of Edward R. and Barbara S. (Russel) McDaniel in Olney, Illinois.  Ed liked to fish, socialize and spend time with his sons and grandchildren.

Ed is survived by his father, Edward R. McDaniel of Fort Scott, Kansas; three sons, Ben McDaniel of Teutopolis, Illinois, Dylan McDaniel (Takeisha Ring) of Dieterich, Illinois, Lucas McDaniel of Edgewood, Illinois; one daughter, Rhiannon Thompson of Effingham, Illinois; one sister, Cindy Remlinger of Fort Scott, Kansas and 10 grandchildren.

Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara McDaniel and one sister, Gretchen Ramsey.
