Ellen Marie Clark, age 77, of Gurnee, Illinois passed away at 12:11 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery. Memorials may go to Effingham Humane Society or the donor's choice.

Ellen was born on January 16, 1945 in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of Harold and Marie (Redman) Gillmore. She married Kim Clark on July 5, 1970 in Edgewood, Illinois. She enjoyed cooking and baking, was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her family and friends, most importantly, her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Damon Clark of Champaign; daughter, Kirstin Spranger (husband Derek) of Gurnee; brother, John Gillmore (wife Bette) of Edgewood; three grandchildren, Sydny, Colin, and Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marie Gillmore; beloved husband, Kim Clark; brother, Jim Gillmore.
