Ermajean L. Evans, age 76, of Altamont, Illinois passed away at 10:10 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her home in Altamont, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at New Horizon Church in St. Elmo, Illinois. There will be a one-hour viewing prior to the service. PeeWee Denton will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2020 at New Horizon Church in St. Elmo, Illinois. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Altamont, Illinois. Memorials may go to Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham or the donor's choice.

Ermajean was born on December 12, 1944  in Pekin, Illinois, the daughter of Lawrence Sr. and Katherine (Serpette) Smith. She married Larry D. Evans on January 28, 1966 in St. Elmo, Illinois. She was a member of the New Horizon Church in St. Elmo. She loved shopping, going out to have fun, listening to music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Evans (fiancé Tracey Alstat) of Vandalia, Illinois, Mont Evans of Effingham, Illinois, and Terry "TJ" Evans of Altamont, Illinois; daughters, Tammy Boren (husband Steve) of Vandalia, Illinois and Tina Barnick (husband Tim) of Altamont, Illinois; brother, Howard Smith (wife Pat) of Mackinaw, Illinois; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marge Smith of Minier, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Sr. and Katherine Smith; husband, Larry Evans; brothers, Lawrence Smith Jr., Don Smith, Willis Smith, Robert Smith, Phil Smith; sisters, Dorothy Hedrick and Kathy Huff.
