Evelyn I. Guy, age 86 of LaClede, IL passed away at 10:45 p.m. Saturday December 20, 2014 HSHS St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, IL. There will be a two hour visitation prior to service. Memorials may be made to Keens Chapel Building Fund, Friedens United Church of Christ, Music for Memory Program at Lutheran Care Center, or donor's choice.

Evelyn was born on January 26, 1928 in LaClede Township, the daughter of Ernst and Edna (Howell) Storck. She married Dane H. Guy on February 24, 1946 at the family farm house in rural Farina, Illinois. She was a member of the Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, IL. She was a bookkeeper at Ging Elevator Inc. in Edgewood, IL for several years. She was a trustee at Keen's Chapel. She was active in Boy Scouts of America Troop 411 of Farina and Lincoln Trails Council for several years. She was a member of the Friedens UCC Guild and Quilters. She was the Preceptor Delta Tau woman of the year in 1990. She was also an election judge for LaClede for several years.

She is survived by her two sons, Brien Guy (wife Jo Ann) of St. Peter, IL and Alan Guy (wife Dena) of Farina, IL; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dane Guy on April 6, 2012; parents, Ernst and Edna Storck; three brothers, Irvin Storck, Milford Storck, and Howard Storck; two sisters, Lorene Busse and Lois Hill.
