Franklin "Shag" Eugene Colclasure, age 71, of Flora, Illinois passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Deacon's Health Center in Evansville, Indiana.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Iola Cemetery in Iola, Illinois. Military rites will be observed. Memorials may go to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com

Shag was born on May 04, 1946 in Clay County, Illinois the son of Gerald and Mary (Sapp) Colclasure. He was the past commander for the Edgewood American Legion Post #1168. He loved fishing, spending time with his family and friends, especially his cat Frankie.

He is survived by his son, Kenton Colclasure (fiancé, Sandy Alwardt) of Farina, Illinois; four sisters, Patsy Laycoax (husband Bill) of Iola, Illinois, Debbie Norman (husband John) of Salem, Illinois, Carol Miller (husband Frank) of Farina, Illinois and Denise Ellis of Olney, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Colclasure; mother and step-father, Roscoe and Mary Cruse; wife, Connie Colclasure; brothers, Jerry Colclasure, Lyle Colclasure, Gaylon Colclasure and Dennis Cruse; sister, Cheryl Green.
