Gary R. Auton, age 52, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away at 6:37 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home in Louisville, Illinois.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. at the Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, Illinois. Joe Smith will be officiating. Memorials may be made to the Pagel Funeral home to help offset the cost of the service.

Gary was born March 4, 1966 in Effingham, Illinois the son of Dallas Auton, Jr. and Violet M. Yingst Auton. Gary had a love of the outdoors.  He loved to go fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. He was self-employed in lawn care and odd jobs.

Gary is survived by his mother and step father, Violet and Don Lilley of Louisville, Illinois; one brother Rodney Auton of Louisville, Illinois; three sisters, Ann Dannells of Chicago, Illinois, Teena Taylor of Xenia, Illinois and Emily Gibson of Olney, Illinois; two step-sons, Johnny Davis of Indiana and Bert Davis of Indiana; 2 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Dallas Auton, Jr.
