Glen Paul Simmons, age 78, of LaClede, Illinois passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at his home.

A private graveside service will be held in Keen's Chapel Cemetery in rural Farina, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Glen was born on November 14, 1943, in Edgewood, Illinois to Charles and Cecilia Simmons. He married Fredia Depoister on August 26, 1965, and they were married for 56 years. Glen worked as a laborer for Egyptian Concrete for 29 years. He enjoyed country and gospel music and fishing.

Glen is survived by his wife, Fredia, two sons, Paul Simmons (wife Stacey) and Earnie Simmons (wife Katie); one daughter, Paula Adams (husband Matt); two brothers, Charlie Simmons (wife Lucille) of Texas and Noel Simmons (wife Georgia) of Mason, Illinois; one sister, Betty Ingram of Edgewood, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Harold, Henry, Lawrence, Bob, Leon, Ralph and Leroy Simmons; three sisters, Vera Parkhurst, Marjorie Lacey and Larene Cook.
