Glennda Ruth Vance, age 77, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 7:34 a.m. on Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

There will be a private service at a later date. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Association.

Glennda was born on November 23, 1938 in Santa Monica, California the daughter of Glenn and Ruth (Teal) Shumway. She married Jerome "Jerry" Samuel Vance on October 3, 1959 in Encino, California. She was Miss Marine Corp in 1957 and also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Samuel Vance of Mason, Illinois; 3 sons, Forrest Vance (wife Amy) of Greenville, South Carolina, Lane Vance (husband Paul Trowe) of Austin, Texas, Glenn Vance (fiancé Marie Lane) of Dieterich, Illinois;  daughter, Fawn Vance of Thousand Oaks, California; sister, Robyn Hess of Virginia and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ruth Shumway.
