Obituary

Goldie Marie Harris, age 89 of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 12:30 a. m. Saturday, January 03, 2015 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Christian Church on 6 th and Main Street in St. Elmo, Illinois. Funeral service will also be held at the church on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with one hour viewing prior to service. Tom Fedrigon and Jason Reichert will be officiating. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery in St. Elmo, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Christian Church or donor's choice.

Goldie was born on September 9, 1925 in St. Elmo, Illinois, the daughter of Henry "Sigle" and Neoma (Newcomb) Force. She was a member of the HCE in St. Elmo, Illinois and worked as a waitress at the Carriage Inn in Altamont, Illinois for several years. She loved listening and dancing to country music and spending time with family and friends.

Goldie leaves behind her four daughters, Trudy Reichert (husband Gordon) of Farina, Illinois, Sallie Trier of St. Elmo, Illinois, Loretta "Letty" Cameron of St. Elmo, Illinois and Sandra Sickles of St. Elmo, Illinois; one sister, Betty Abendroth of St. Elmo, Illinois and 18 grandchildren; several great - grandchildren and great - great  grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Virgle Harris in 1953; second husband, Charles "Todd" Harris in 1995; three brothers, Ivan Force, Virgil Force, and Gene Force; One sister, Nellie Durbin; three sons-in-law, Verle "Chip" Trier, Tracy Cameron and T. J. Sickles.
