Haven Clifford Nelson, 85, of Edgewood, IL. passed away at 12:42 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 with Mark White officiating.  Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery following service.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April   9, 2014.  Memorials may be made to The Full Gospel Church in Edgewood, IL. or donor's choice.

Haven was born on January 26, 1929 in Effingham County of IIIinois, son of William and Agnes (Warner) Nelson. He married Wonetta Veatch on July 9, 1949 in Effingham County. He loved horses and always enjoyed going horseback riding whenever possible. He also enjoyed being with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Wonetta Nelson of Edgewood, IL.; son, Cliff Nelson of Edgewood, IL.; daughters, Katy Durbin (husband John) of Beecher City, IL., Julie Harris (husband Brian) of Indian Rocks Beach, FL., Belinda Matlock (husband Jim) of Edgewood, IL. ;brother, Loren Nelson (wife Nadine) of Mason, IL.; sisters, Faye Nemic of Wisconsin, Mary Ella White (husband H. O.) of Mason, IL.; brother-n-law, Bill Goddard of Mason, IL.; sister-n-law, Betty Nelson of Edgewood, IL.; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Lloyd Nelson, Lavern Nelson, Urban Nelson; sisters, Irene Case, Marie Goddard, and one granddaughter, Sheri Durbin.
