Jack A. Hatfill, 79, of St. Elmo, IL passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Carle Hospital in Urbana, IL.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at C&A Pagel Funeral Home in St. Elmo. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. There will be a one hour viewing prior to the service.
Jack was born on May 19, 1935 in St. Elmo, IL. the son of James C. and Velma E. (Riley) Hatfill. He married Judy (Fritcher) Hatfill on March 19, 1957 in Altamont, IL. He worked in the oilfields for many years. He enjoyed wood working and loved to draw. He is a former member of the St. Elmo American Legion #420.
He is survived by his three sons, James Hatfill (wife Barb) of Watson, IL., John Hatfill (fiancé Terri Elder) of Dieterich, IL., and Joe Hatfill (wife Paula) of St. Elmo, IL.; three daughters, Glenda "Sis" Bivins (husband Les) of St. Elmo, IL., Corina "Rene" Hatfill (special friend Richard Merrill) of Atlanta, IL., Lori Hatfill (special friend Gale Janssen) of Brownstown, IL.; his pet, Missy; one sister, Marilyn Logsdon of St. Elmo, IL.; sister-in-law, Dill Ladd; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, James and Velma Hatfill; wife, Judy Hatfill; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Hatfill and George Hatfill; two sisters, Phyllis Hatfill and Esther Carter.
