Jackolyn Kaye Nickels, age 65, of St. Elmo, Illinois passed away at 3:10 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Aperion Care in St. Elmo, Illinois.

Jackolyn was born on March 28, 1959 in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Fountain Daniel and Verla Vondelle (Finley) Crum. She loved gardening, taking care of her farm animals, and spending time with her family and friends. Jackolyn was known for her generosity and her love to care for others.

She is survived by her sons, Jacob Griggs (Savannah Ellis) of St. Elmo and Michael Brown of St. Elmo; daughters, Rachel Griggs Graves of Brownstown, Sara Griggs (John Miles) of St. Elmo and Brittany Belcher (husband Pat) of Watson; brothers, Russell Crum of Effingham and Owen Crum of St. Elmo; sisters, Lori Richey of St. Elmo; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fountain and Verla Crum; brother, Danny Crum, sisters, Connie Ervin and Evelyn Crum.
