James F. "Chico" Carder, age 55 of Watson, Illinois pass away at 5:51 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Watson United Methodist Church in Watson, Illinois with one hour viewing prior to service. Burial will take place at the Watson Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Watson United Methodist Church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or the donor's choice.
James F. Carder was born on March 7, 1960 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of James C. and Viola D. (Labonte) Carder. He was an employee at Danny's Quick Sac for several years and served in the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1980. James was also a volunteer Fire fighter for the Watson Fire Dept. He enjoyed being outdoors doing things like gardening, woodworking and flowers.
He is survived by his two sons, Justin Carder (wife Jennifer) of Effingham, Illinois and Jeremy Carder (wife Katie) of Effingham, Illinois; one brother, Jeff Carder (wife Edna) Beardstown, Illinois; two sisters, Marchetta Wheeler of Berlin, Massachusetts and Winona Barnett of San Diego, California; four grandchildren, Brianne, Wyatt, Avri and Alec; loving friend, Bonita Davis of Watson, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Carder (wife Mary) and his mother, Viola Carder.
