James S. Clagg, age 67, of Watson, Illinois passed away at 5:32 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Effingham, Illinois.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Pagel Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 201 Edgewood, Illinois. 62426.

James was born on December 14, 1947 in Jasper County, the son of Morris and Arabelle (Farris) Clagg. He was a service lineman for Norris Electric for several years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his son, Todd Clagg (wife Gina) of Watson, Illinois; two daughters, Annette Meyer (husband Bill) of Effingham, Illinois and Laura Clagg  (companion Matt Daily) of Dahlgren, Illinois; two sisters, Betty Goeckner (husband Larry) of Dieterich, Illinois and Jackie Schackmann (husband Rick) of Newton, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Casey (wife Hallie) Clagg, Crystal Hankins, Michelle Russell, Michael Meyer, Christopher Meyer, Ricky Meyer and Zane Clagg; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Bristol Clagg; several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Arabelle Clagg and one nephew, Doug Goeckner.
