James "Jim" Henry Kuhns, age 63, of Mason, Illinois passed away at 3:27 p.m. on November 21, 2015 in Edgewood, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois with one hour viewing prior to the service. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2015 at Pagel Funeral Homes. Memorials may be made to the family or the donor's choice.

Jim was born on May 1, 1952 in Vandalia, Illinois, the son of Henry and Dorothy (Vogel) Kuhns. He was a member of the Edgewood Sons of American Legion post#1168 and the Edgewood Fire Department. He enjoyed working on old cars, gardening, and cooking.

He is survived by his two sons, Robert Kuhns (wife Amanda) of Mason, Illinois and Jake Kuhns of Effingham, Illinois; daughter, Valerie Kuhns (boyfriend Steve Kline) of Mason, Illinois; three brothers, Joe Kuhns (wife Terry) of Edgewood, Illinois, Gary Kuhns (wife Sharron) of Mattoon, Illinois and Paul Kuhns (wife Gayla) of Mason, Illinois and one sister, Cathy Kos (husband John) of Wheaton, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dorothy Kuhns and one sister, Mary Ann Wachtel.
