Jeffrey Scott Griffith, age 49, of Chicago, Illinois passed away at 12:08 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home in Chicago, Illinois.

There will be no services. Memorials may go to the family (remit to Pagel Funeral Homes 100 N. Olive St. St. Elmo, Illinois 62458) or the donor's choice.

Jeffrey was born on December 26, 1970 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Jay S. and Cheryl A. (Onstott) Griffith. He obtained his master's degree from SIU and was a career counselor for several years.

He is survived by his father, Jay Griffith (wife Kathy "Gertie") of Louisville, Illinois; children, Lucinda Peskar of Florida and Teagan "Elliot" Griffith of Troy, Illinois; brother, Mike Griffith (wife Carrie) of Iola, Illinois; sister, Sara Griffith of Louisville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Griffith.
