Joey Lynn Logan, age70 of Edgewood, Illinois passed away at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Clay County Hospital.

Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood with a visitation from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Masonic Rites will be observed from 11:30 to the time of service. Michael Durre will be officiating. Burial will be at Keen's Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Shriner's Children Hospital, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the donor's choice.

Joey was born on March 8, 1953 in Monahans, Texas, the son of Joy Dean and Lula June (White) Logan. He married Melinda Rodgers on November 27, 1976 at Keen's Chapel in Larkinsburg Township. He was a member of the Edgewood Masonic Lodge, Illinois Shriners, Valley of Illinois Scottish Rites, and Edgewood Sons of American Legion. Joey loved to bowl in leagues, socialize at the local coffee shops, dance, and to tell stories. He spent a big part of his life farming and working in the oilfields. He also worked for 21 years on the maintenance crew for IDOT.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Logan of Edgewood; brothers, Donnie Logan (significant other Brenda Napier) of Edgewood and Kevin Logan (wife Sally) of Edgewood; aunt, Diana Podeszwa of Flora; grandchild, Kord Cain of Altamont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy Dean and Lula June Logan and brother, Larry Logan.
