Jon Robert Martin, age 52, of Watson, Illinois passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his home.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Watson United Methodist Church in Watson, Illinois. Pastor Carroll Lewis and Jim Whitaker will be officiating. Burial will be at Watson Cemetery in Watson, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 2, at Watson United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Watson United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Jon was born on November 2, 1962 in Santa Monica, California, the son of Robert A. and Dianne F. (Guillard) Martin. When he was younger he enjoyed showing horses and later continued his love of the outdoors by traveling and camping.

He is survived by his mother, Dianne (Guillard) Martin of Ceres, California; his son, Sean Martin of Effingham, Illinois; two daughters, Sarah Martin (Justin Alwardt) of Effingham, Illinois and Delia Martin of Effingham, Illinois; his brother, Jim Martin (wife Debbie) of San Jose, California; a sister, Janice Anderson (husband Ernie) of Ceres, California; his aunt, Alice Martin (husband Jackson Hensley) of Watson, Illinois; two grandchildren, Peyton and Ayden Alwardt; and by four nieces, Megan Anderson, Mackenzie Anderson, Savannah Martin and Sophia Martin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Martin; paternal grandparents, John R. and Eleanor Martin; maternal grandparents, Frank and Melva Guillard.
