Judith Louise Trader, age 88, of Kinmundy, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 07, 2026, at her residence in Kinmundy, Illinois surrounded by her family.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 110 N Madison St. Kinmundy, Illinois. Father Jose Jacob will be officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to start of funeral service. Burial will take place in St. Barbara Cemetery, off of County Rd 275 East in Scheller, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Ste 480 Columbia, MD 21044. Online condolences may be left at www.pagelfuneralhome.com
Judith was born on May 24, 1938, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Russel Bartram and Ruby Vaughn Bartram. She married Robert Trader on April 6, 1975, in Salem, Illinois. She loved to quilt and was a member of the Happy Hearts Quilt Guild of Salem, Illinois. She enjoyed her years with the Business and Professional Women’s of Salem, Illinois, where she served as president. In the 1960’s she served as district 15 Chairman. She was responsible for starting Girl Scouts in Kinmundy. Judith worked in the accounting department for Illinois Power Company in Salem and Decatur, Revere Copper and Brass in Clinton, and General Tire in Mt. Vernon. In her later years she worked in the office and for the lunch program at St. Anthony School, Effingham.
Judith is survived by her husband, Robert of Kinmundy, Illinois; daughter, Elizabeth Trader; nieces and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ruby; her sister, Nancy Wiedle
