Charlotte "Kathy" Kathryn Mahon, age 73, of Vandalia, Illinois passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

There will be a private family graveside service. Kathy will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Cemetery next to her husband Charles Mahon.  Memorials may go to Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Fayette County Second Chance Rescue,  or the donor's choice.

Kathy was born on October 11, 1950 in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughter of Earl K. Donaldson and Bill and Helen K. Parker. She married Charles Mahon on June 12, 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Leavenworth, Kansas. She loved to go thrift and antique shopping and took pride in the time she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Michael Mahon of Vandalia and Andy Mahon of Salem; brother, Fritz Kramer of Vandalia; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Donaldson and Bill and Helen Parker; husband, Charles Mahon; and sister, Melissa Swick.
