Kelly Joe Newburn, age 73, of Altamont, Illinois passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Illinois.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Macedonia Christian Church in Farina, Illinois with a two-hour viewing prior to the service. Rev. Jim Ziegler will be officiating. Burial will be at Sidener Cemetery in rural St. Elmo, Illinois. Memorials may go to Sidener Cemetery, Macedonia Christian Church, or the donor's choice.

Kelly was born on January 25, 1948 in Roosevelt, Utah, the son of Charles H. and Della M. (Tate) Newburn. He enjoyed fishing, fixing things, spending time with his family and friends, and spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Tom Newburn (wife Heather) of Portsmouth, Virginia and Harvey Newburn of Ash Grove, Missouri; daughters, Dawn Spicer of Altamont, Illinois and Valecia Newburn of Benton, Illinois; brother, Ronnie Newburn (wife Barb) of Brownstown, Illinois; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Della Newburn; sister, Ruby Owens.
