Laqueeta Denise (Wilson) Sapp, age 76, of Edgewood, Illinois, went to be with the Lord at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, peacefully at her home in Edgewood, Illinois surrounded by her family. She was greeted and reunited with her beloved son, Brian Sapp.

Cremation rites will be observed and there will be no service.

Laqueeta was born to Ermine and Pearl (Stewart) Wilson on October 4th, 1942, in Effingham, Illinois.  She married her forever sweetheart Dean Sapp on August 24, 1959 and they celebrated 59 years of marriage.  She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and treasured all the times and adventures with her husband and family.

Laqueeta is survived by her husband, Dean Sapp of Edgewood, Illinois; one son, Jim D. (wife, Janie) Sapp of Edgewood, Illinois; one daughter in law, Linda (husband, Craig) Moore; two sisters-in-law, Linda Beccue and Cindy Fancher; seven grandchildren, Amber (husband, Matt) Conder, Jeff (wife, Shawna) Sapp, Amy (husband, Ronnie) Merritt, Kyle (wife, Tashawna) Sapp, Chelsea (husband, Adam) Ruholl, Cassie (husband, Troy) Mette and Andy Sapp; sixteen great-grandchildren, Klowee, Kyra, Holden, Ryder, Lydia, Kali, Lane, Mitch, Stella, Levi, Harper, Lyllianna, Lucille, Everly, Leyla, and Baby Emma Sapp expected soon.

Laqueeta was preceded in death by her parents, Ermine and Pearl Wilson; her in-laws, Cecil and Ruby Sapp; one son, Brian Sapp; two brothers-in-law, Frank Beccue and Kenny Fancher.

She was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all.
