Obituary
Larry Limes, 71, of Edgewood, IL. passed away on August 3, 2014 at 2:30 a.m. at Evergreen Nursing Home in Effingham, IL.
The funeral will be at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, IL. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with a two hour visitation prior to service. Jim Giffin will be officiating. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, IL. Memorials may be made to the Edgewood Cemetery, The Shriner's Hospital, or donor's choice.
Larry was born June 26, 1943 in Clay County. The son of Ray S. and Virgie A. (Hord) Limes. He married Karen Jennings on January 25, 1964 in Effingham, IL. He worked in the oilfields for several years. He was a member of the Edgewood Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed muscle cars or anything that was automotive, mushroom hunting, and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Limes of Edgewood, IL.; one son, Larry Lee Limes (wife Deanna) of Effingham, IL.; one daughter, Melanie Noland (husband Jim) of Mason, IL.; one brother, Jerry Limes (wife Zola) of Iola, IL.; two
sisters, Marguerite Louder of Edgewood, IL., Vivian George of Tuscola, IL.; one sister-in-law, Helen Limes of St. Peter, IL.; one brother-in-law, Harl Murray of Kinmundy, IL.; 7 grandchildren, Hayden and Lexie Limes of Mason, IL., Kristen Niebrugge of Champaign, IL., Katherine Clark of Florida, Ashley and Jamie Noland and Joey Heist all of Michigan; 2 great-grandchildren with one expected in 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman Limes; two sisters, Juanita Murray and Jean Birch; three brother-in-laws, Glen Louder, Gus George, and Lewis Birch.
